LASIK is a medical procedure that corrects for nearsightedness, farsightedness, and astigmatism.  It can also be used to help reading vision for some patients over 40.  LASIK is done under local anesthesia with a relatively short recovery period.  Your vision is generally excellent the next day and with careful monitoring will stabilize in a few weeks.  If you’re considering LASIK ask our doctors or staff about the procedure. 

During your refractive surgery evaluation, we will ask you a few questions and perform various tests to determine if you are a good candidate for surgery.  If you are determined to be a good candidate, we will work with an highly qualified eye surgeon to determine the best type of refractive surgery for you.  

After the surgery is complete, we will evaluate the progress of the surgery, and make sure no complications have occurred.
